Core Drilling

We drill cores from 1/2 inch to 60 inches in diameter. Small cores (1/2" to 6") are common for electrical conduit, plumbing, and anchor bolts. Medium cores (6" to 18") serve HVAC, mechanical, and structural testing needs. Large-diameter cores (18" to 60") are used for major mechanical penetrations, elevator pits, and specialty openings.

Our equipment can drill to depths exceeding 50 feet. Standard floor and wall penetrations are typically 6" to 24" deep, but we regularly handle deep foundation coring, structural sampling at depth, and long-reach horizontal drilling for utility installations.

Yes. We drill at any angle — vertical (down or up), horizontal, and everything in between. Angled coring requires specialized rigs with secure mounting systems to maintain accuracy. Common angled applications include drainage penetrations, MEP runs through sloped surfaces, and overhead penetrations in ceilings and soffits.

Wet drilling uses water to cool the bit and flush cuttings, producing faster cuts with longer bit life. It is the standard for most applications. Dry drilling uses a vacuum system instead of water and is used where water damage is a concern — occupied buildings, electrical rooms, and sensitive equipment areas. We carry both setups on every truck.
